Remix

For this project we had to take the song How To Start A Revolution by Some Velvet Morning and remix it. What I did was started off by using the edison channel to take the vocals clip and put it in and left it the way it was. I then wrote a drum part on my own and a bass part using the Fl Slayer channel with the harmonized bass preset. I then took the trombone sound from the side and wrote the brass part that happens in the first half. I then went on to use the Sytrus channel with a metal preset to get the guitar sounding part. I then used edison to cut out the main riff and use it towards the end along with the solo.

Project 6

For this project we had to use the Fl sytrus channel and make are own synth sounds one had to be a sine wave and the other had to be a saw wave. For my song I used the riff machine to come up with the intro riff on the saw wave. The drums I did myself with the default ones. The next riff that comes in Mr. Rabuse helped me with this was the sine wave. The bass part that comes in I wrote myself using the sine wave. And finally the last riff at the end I took from I shot The Sheriff by Bob Marley which i had used on the sine wave.

Project 5

For project 5 we had to use the riff machine. I used the riff machine for the first riff at the beginning, the intro, and i carried the riff throughout the whole song. For the riff i used the scifi 4 sound that was just on the side. The melody I wrote myself originally as a bass part but as I tried different sounds I preferred it as the melody. For this I used the pluck sound on the side. I also did all the drums myself without using the FPC channel. When the guitar part comes in I used FL Slayer for both.

Project 4

For project 4 we had to use the x y controller for the effects we used on whatever channel we preferred. My effects were pretty simple it just was something I used for like an extra flavor to the song. My guitar riff and opening synth riff is Escape From Hellview by the band cKy. I loved the riff and decided to use it in my song using Fl Slayer. I just wrote a simple bass part nothing special with a clean sound so the riff wouldn't be overpowered. I used FPC for my drums I wanted, once again, something simple that wouldn't take away from the riff.

Project 3

For project 3 we had to use automation clips. I used the SinSimth channel for mu main riff. I added effects which I tweaked and had rise and lower through out the song for my liking. I also used a volume automation for the master volume for the bass (Fl Slayer channel) and drums (FPC channel) I wanted it rose up to the main riff ideal volume slowly then as the song ended fade out. My inspiration wasn't any real outside source it was just something I put together after I wrote my bass part.

Project 2

For project 2 I had to use guitar and bass along with fpc. I used the chop tool for the main guitar riff while writing the bass riff myself on piano roll. For the guitar I used FL Slayer with a SINGLE Wild West Glide preset. I picked that preset because the other presets didn't fit with the bass sound. For bass effects i used the BASS Harmonizer preset. I picked that preset because I liked the clean sound it had unlike some of the others. I went with a Dire Straits sort of sound because I heard one of their songs a week or two ago.
