For project 2 I had to use guitar and bass along with fpc. I used the chop tool for the main guitar riff while writing the bass riff myself on piano roll. For the guitar I used FL Slayer with a SINGLE Wild West Glide preset. I picked that preset because the other presets didn't fit with the bass sound. For bass effects i used the BASS Harmonizer preset. I picked that preset because I liked the clean sound it had unlike some of the others. I went with a Dire Straits sort of sound because I heard one of their songs a week or two ago.
Chris some how your work always amazes me. You always find the right combination of beats and instruments to give a nice flare to the song. The bass solo was a nice touch and I have no complaints with this song. It reminds me of something I'd hear in an older video game. Very, very nice job!
This is really good. I liked the slide that you put into this. It gives this song an amazing effect. Like Clark said there is no problems with this song that i can find.
I agree with the other ones on this but it doesn't mean that you can't change it make it a little longer and have a sort of pyramid effect to it. At the beginning it starts out with both the drums and the synth or guitar i couldn't tell. But if you started out with one or the other first, it would add some length to your clip. Also the drums are really good in this song so you might want to let them have a solo were there is no other instrument playing at all and then go into the original drum beat, bass and synth line. I do like the hole song and the bass solo. Its fine the way it is these are just some ideas I am throughing at you. P.S. I also like how the drums are actually playable in this song which i haven't seen in to many other drum beats that kids have put up. Seth K
It's a good loop, but it lacks balance. At the end it's just bass and drums, and that cool synth sound went away. Why? Also, the transposition seemed kind of random. It was suprising each time the synth came in on a new not, and didn't seem to follow any melodic sequence.
