Poizone
In this project I had to use the poizone channel. I started off by editing my main Poizone sound. I changed the noise setting greatly so it'd sound more distorted. After that I wrote the drum part for the intro. I then wrote out the melody using the original Poizone sound I designed and wrote the remaining drum part along with it. After that I wrote out the bass part, this time i wanted to make the bass part a little more intense then usual. For it I used the BASS PUNCH preset in slayer. I then wanted a weird synth sound to go over everything, so I used acid 3 in sytrus. I decided that I needed more Poizone so I picked a setting to go over the intro, I chose ARP Ozrical TC. I also wanted to add accents on the 2 and 4 beats so I used the Syn Phaz TC setting in Poizone. For the sound of the song I wanted a harder sound but to have some techno mixed in.

Progress
This week I started to work on a project using poizone. So far I've used poizone for the main riff and plan on using it for more. I've written the main riff the drums and a synth part. I'm starting to work on the bass now and an ending.

SVF and XY Modulation in Sytrus
For this project I had to use SVF setting and use XY modulation in the sytrus channel. I started by designing the sound I wanted in sytrus. After that was done I started to write the melody. For this song unlike most songs I make I decided to make it slower. I also wanted to use more bass. For the bass I used the BASS PUNCH preset in FL Slayer. I doubled it in the mid section so the riff could be heard better. For the guitar I used the basic settings in Fl Slayer. For the chorus I used CHR_HEAVEN_C6.

Frequency Modulation in Sytrus
For this project using sytrus I had to make 4 different synths. To make the synths I just followed the instructions and added the chorus using CHR_HEAVEN_6 and the bass using FL slayer with the preset of BASS punch . For the main riff I used the synth part of the song Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over by the band The Devil Wears Prada. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6aNV_xKSto) I then wrote the bass and accompany parts in myself that would make it seem creepy. I also wanted to have good drums as always. I also used an automation clip on the frequency cutoff for one of the supporting synths.

Deck The Halls
For this project I made my own version of the Christmas carol Deck The Halls. I wanted to have a more dance-ish theme but still have good drums. I started off by just writing in the melody without picking a synth. After I wrote it in i had to choose the synths. For the main melody I used the Poizone channel with the BAS BigUnison TC setting. For the bass I looked in sytrus for something different then expected. I found the echo bottles preset and really liked the sound. For the second part I used the Moogish preset on sytrus. For the part that matched the melody I used the Dreamy preset on sytrus. And for the bridge to the ending I wanted a light happy sound so i wrote in the part and used the Cerbera Saw preset. I then wrote in the drum part.

Carol Of The Bells
For this project I had to remix the Christmas song Carol Of The Bells. I knew from the start I wanted an intense drum beat like the August Burns Red version of the same song. I started off writing the melody in. The first synth I used was the 3xOsc. I then added bass and guitar. For the two I used BASS harmonizer and DIST Reeth both from Fl Slayer. I then wanted a violin sound so I used the Pizzicato preset on Sytrus. Then for the major synth I used the dreamy preset from Sytrus too. All and all I was extremely pleased with the outcome.

Illuminator Remix
For this project I had to remix the song Illuminator by the band Underoath. I started off by deciding what parts I actually wanted to change. I decided to leave the drums vocals and synth. I then wrote a bass part. I wanted to keep the bass part simple so it wouldn't take notice away from the guitar and drums. For the bass sound I used Bass Harmonizer preset in the Fl Slayer channel. I then wanted to make a synth part that was fairly simple but catchy. I used the CHR_HEAVEN_C6 sound and then wrote in my part. I then wanted to work on getting a guitar sound in there. After a multitude of failed attempts at trying to record myself playing I used Fl Slayer. For the actual guitar part I just simply changed out a synth sound for it and liked the sound.
